STORY
It wasn't quite the start to the season Maranatha had hoped for as they fell in six straight sets to their opponents, Concordia Chicago.
Finishing with a combined 25 kills to their opponents 80 over the two match stretch, it is no surprise that the Cougars were able come away with the six set sweep.
Senior Jacob Valeria led the team with eight total kills, while Daniel Says led the pack defensively with 10 digs.
After losing multiple starting seniors from last season, the Sabercats are working to find a lineup that works best with the small team. They will have another opportunity to prove themselves in a couple of weeks when they take on Carolina and Judson in New York.
