STORY
The Falcons may have only been five games and one win deep into the 2024 season, but their tight loss to a Top-10 NCAA DIII program last week was a warning sign for the Sabercats going in. Sure enough, the Falcons swung themselves out to a 17-4 lead in the first set and held Maranatha to single digits in the opening set. CUW's Tate Miller led the Falcons with four first-set kills.
The Sabercats would eventually improve as the night went on, increasing their points total to 15 by the third set, but the story of the night was the Falcons' offensive precision, as the host swung at a clip of almost 37 percent, limiting their attack errors to just seven on the night.
On Maranatha's side of the net, Daniel Says led the way with five kills; Titus Huston led the defensive efforts with nine digs, and Tyler Lacock pitched in some power at the net, putting up two kills and two blocks.
