LANSING, Mich. -- Maranatha struggled to work around Great Lakes aggressive defense, which led to 43 turnovers in their 32-86 loss.
Paige Joner and Kyria Teachout each had 8 points on the night to lead the Sabercats. Lindsay Mikkelson led the boards for the second night in a row, pulling in 10 rebound and also adding 6 points.

STORY
Both teams got on the board early in the game with Kyria Teachout hitting two quick jumpers for the Sabercats to set the score at 4-7 in favor of Great Lakes. But the manageable deficit quickly slipped away from Maranatha as they failed to score again until the final 2 minutes of the quarter, giving the Crusaders a 18-0 run.
The Sabercats couldn't seem to find their way through the Great Lakes defensive, as the Crusaders constant pressure and aggression led to 25 Sabercat turnovers in the first half alone.
While Maranatha continued to struggle offensively, Great Lakes took advantage of every possession, going 31-75 from the field, nine of which came from beyond the arc.
Great Lakes defeated Maranatha 86-32 in the regular season conference match. But Maranatha will have another opportunity to prove themselves as the Crusaders travel to Watertown in less than a week.
