GREENVILLE, S.C. --
Aaron Jones was a key cog in the Sabercats' defensive wheel last week, and the National Christian College Athletic Association has named the senior as the defensive student-athlete of the week for Division II Men's Soccer.
Jones led the Sabercats to three straight shutouts - the first time since 2013 for the program - and was a constant nag for opposing attacks. Jones's shot-saving tackles and defensive presence were instrumental in the Sabercats' run on the week, as they logged a 3-0 win over Andrews to get it started before beating (RV) Emmaus and No. 6 Faith 1-0.
For good measure, Jones added an assist in the week-opening clash with Andrews University.
