WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The Sabercats were faced with yet another difficult opponent as they played their first game on their home court. They fell to Emmaus, an NCCAA DII Midwest Region rival 36-78.
Lindsay Mikkelson and Anna Alsup co-led the Sabercats with 10 points and 4 rebounds on the night. With 9 points and 7 rebounds, Chloe Steuerwald was also was a force to be contended with.

STORY
Emmaus was the first to get on the board and never looked back, as they never let the Sabercats take the lead. The Eagles forced turnovers, making possession lopsided in favor of the visitors. Despite the tough competition, the Sabercats fought until the last minute, showing the grit and hustle they are known for.
As the Sabercats move to 0-2, they look to regroup for Saturday's faceoff against Crown.
