DE PERE, Wis. -- The Sabercats couldn't overcome the energy of St. Norbert College in their home opener tonight, falling to the Green Knights in straight sets.
Maranatha will look to get into the win column for the 2025 season with a weekend trip to Crawfordsville, Indiana and the Wabash Triangular.

STORY
The Green Knights were feeling the energy of their first home game of the 2025 campaign, as they sprang out to an early 13-5 lead with multiple kills. The Knights would go on to post a dozen kills in the first set while going error-less in the second, limiting the Sabercats to just 13 points in a set on the night.
Isaiah Johnson and Josiah Scott did their best to keep things moving on the offensive side, as Johnson logged 4 kills while Scott registered 7 assists.
For the Green Knights, Kaden Kornaus led the high-powered offensive with 8 kills in the match as St. Norbert put down 35 kills while swinging at a clip of .482.
