GALESBURG, Ill. -- The Sabercats struggled in their start to the New Year as their opponents hoisted up a 31 point lead at halftime. Knox drove the dagger home in the second half, finishing the game with a 96-51 victory over Maranatha.
The Prairie Fire had many contributors to their victory, with all but four of their 21 man roster putting points on the board. Caleb Moultrie led Maranatha with 15 points, the only Sabercat to score in double-digits on the day.

STORY
Knox let Maranatha know early on that they came to play today, putting up double-digits before the Sabercats could even get on the board. Before Maranatha was able to catch their breath, Knox had earned a cushy 23 point lead in the first nine minutes of play (31-8).
The Sabercats were left with a lot of ground to cover in the second half. But unfortunately the Prairie Fire's flame only continued to grow as they came out with a 10-0 run, engulfing the Sabercats and leaving them without any answers.
Caleb Moultrie, the only Sabercat to finish in double-digits, led the team with 15 points on the day. But the 21-man Knox team had many more contributors on their side, finishing the game shooting just over 59 percent from the field, and earning a 96-51 victory.
