STORY
Pinpoint Prigge scored a rare "olympico" - a goal scored directly from a corner kick - at the 16-minute mark to give the Sabercats the 1-0 lead, then promptly assisted Amelia Schroeder from another corner kick just four minutes later. Schroeder's shot was equally impressive, as the sophomore smashed the bouncing ball into the top corner to give the Sabercats a 2-0 lead.
Prigge added the third with a shot that couldn't have been placed better. Prigge pounced on a loose ball, dribbled into the box, and bent a shot into the top-left side netting to make it 3-0.
As an encore, Prigge hit one of the goals of the season - a free kick from 30 yards away that sailed over the goalkeeper and into the corner for the 4-0 lead. For the moment, Prigge was making everything she looked at. Four goals were on the scoreboard, and she had scored three and assisted the other.
Schroeder's second came before the halftime whistle, as she soared a left-footed effort from the side of the penalty area that flew into the far side-netting for an eye-catching fifth. The Sabercats were putting on a fireworks display and the halftime scoreboard read 5-0.
The sixth and final goal of the day came from the penalty spot, as Lauren Schmidt stepped up in her final game on the Maranatha field and buried her attempts in the left corner for her first collegiate goal in her final shot at home.
(Due to numerous injuries, the game was called at the 70-minute mark by Mount Mary's decision. The Blue Angels waited for the minimum of 70 minutes for a statistically countable contest.)
