STORYÂ
The Regents weren't backing down, as they came out swinging in the first set to compile 15 kills and 2 aces while the Sabercats struggled to get any sort of offensive rhyhtm. Maranatha had six attack errors to fuel the fire for the Regents, who were gaining momentum on their way to winning 25-9 in the opener.
The second set was a Rockford showcase, as the visitors swung their way to a 16-25 win to the tune of 18 kills. Melody Moreno was setting the tone for the Regents, finishing with 16 kills on the night, while Alexx Burton (10) and Tamsy Leverton (9) were close contributors for the Regents.
The final set was the Sabercats' closest showing of the night, as they put up 20 points to keep pace with the hard-hitting Regents. But Rockford's winning bid would not be denied, as they matched their second-set tally of 18 kills to take a dominant win away from the MBU campus.
