No Luck in New Ulm

Maranatha came up short in Minnesota, falling 81-98.

NEW ULM, Minn. — Despite a well-played game by the Sabercats overall, Martin Luther simply found more success behind the arc. They sunk 12 three-pointers in their 98-81 victory.

For Sabercats, Will Shultz led his team in points with 21. Grant Brock followed behind with 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to lead in that category. 

James Hawley earned his first collegiate start, finishing with 11 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds.

STORY  

The first half deficit determined the game for the Sabercats as both teams came out scoring 42 points in the second half. 

Despite a strong shooting half for Maranatha who went into halftime shooting 52.9 percent, the Knights were able to find some fire at the three point line, giving them the edge over the Sabercats. Martin Luther sunk six three's in each half, ultimately leading to their 98-81 victory.
