STORY

In their final home game of the season, Maranatha came out to a slow start in the first half of play which would in turn lead to their demise.

The Cougars quickly took control within the first five minutes of play, going on a 16-3 run. Damion Cochran and Jeremiah Joliffi both put up double-digits before the end of the half, scoring 12 and 10 points respectively.

Something seemed to change in the Sabercats as they stepped on the court for the final 20 minutes of play. The energy in the gym shifted as Caleb Moultrie found his spot behind the arc, hitting four of Maranatha's seven three-pointers in the half.

With just over a minute to go, there was a sense of hope as the Sabercats cut their 20-point deficit to 11. But Kuyper's confidence didn't waiver and they went on to end the game with an eight-point run.
