ADRIAN, Mich. -- Maranatha continues to work towards their first win of the season after an unsuccessful weekend at the Adrian Triangular. The battered Sabercats, struggling with injuries and illness, were swept by both Adrian and Concordia Chicago. 

Daniel Says led the Sabercats' front line with a combined 10 kills on the day, followed by Jacob Valeria with eight kills. Luke Nason earned a career high 14 digs against Adrian and then matched that number against Concordia, giving him 28 digs on the day.

STORY 

Maranatha started the day off somewhat slow against Adrian College. While they put up a decent battle for a 18-25 loss in the first set, things only declined from their. Attacking 89 times, the Sabercats' 14 kills were completely canceled out by their 25 errors. They finished with hitting percentage of -.124

Adrian doubled the Sabercats' kills stat and added in 10 service aces, sweeping the Sabercats 3-0.

Maranatha had no time for rest as they quickly moved on to their second match in the Triangular. Concordia Chicago swung their way to a 3-0 victory with an impressive 43 kills and earning a .351 hitting percentage. 

Even though the Sabercats hitting percentage improved from the first match, they still found themselves ending with a 0.010 hitting percentage. Daniel Says led the team in the game, finishing as the only one with a hitting percentage above .1. He had eight kills in the match to give him a total of 10 on the day.
