WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The Buena Vista Beavers scored early and often on a warm afternoon in Watertown today, taking home an 11-0 win in the Sabercats' second game of the season.

With the win, the Beavers improve to 4-0-1 - their best start to a season in 10 years - while the short-handed Sabercats fell to 0-2.

STORY

Chloe Lippert grabbed the headlines by scoring four goals for the Beavers. Lippert got one in the first half before bagging a second-half hat trick. Bailey Gibbons notched two first-half goals, and four other Buena Vista players scored a goal apiece.

The Sabercats did their best to create chances at the other end, firing six shots in the game, five of which were on goal. But without the presence of usual starters Megan Prigge and Chloe Dodd, the Sabercats didn't have their usual group to go for the game.

Amelia Schroeder led the Sabercats with two shots on goal while Sara Herrera, Alayna Smith, and Emily Wilson all registered a shot apiece.

Even in the 11-0 loss, the Sabercats still celebrated some college debuts, as Megan Valeria, Isabelle Byers, and Ruth Bishop all saw game action for the first time in Sabercat colors.
