WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The red-hot Ripon Red Hawks had their way today, adding to their hottest start since 2000 with a 6-0 win over Maranatha this afternoon in Watertown.
The Red Hawks scored three in each half to cap off the well-rounded win. Ripon's win moves them to an 8-1 record while the Sabercats drop to 1-4-2.

STORY
The Sabercats had the hotter start, as a couple of aggressive runs from Aaron Jones kept the Red Hawks on the back foot. Pedro Ribeiro created a shot inside the box, but his close-range attempt was skillfully turned aside by the Red Hawks goalkeeper.
Once Ripon settled into their rhythm, there was no going back. Seth Schroeder and Andre Robertson both scored twice, and Gustavo Herrera and Jesse Ward rounded out the scoring for Ripon.
Brad Brock made his first start of the year in the Sabercats' goal, making a career-best 11 saves in the loss. Clayton Beachell made his first appearance of the season for the Sabercats.
