MILWAUKEE -- Alayna Smith and the Sabercats were firing on all cylinders this afternoon, taking home their third straight win with a 6-2 topping of Mount Mary in Milwaukee.
Smith, the freshman, matched the Maranatha Women's Soccer program record for assists in a game (4), adding a goal for good measure. Faith Dargy scored twice and Isabella Byers, Amelia Schroeder, and Esther Bishop capped off the scoring on a memorable Milwaukee afternoon.

STORY
Dargy wasted no time in scoring, opening her account in the third minute. Dargy met a cross from Smith inside the penalty area, looping a shot over the oncoming goalkeeper for a deft opening goal.
It was Smith's turn to score 20 minutes later, and Dargy returned the favor. Dargy crossed a ball in where Smith was waiting inside the goal area, knocking the ball high into the net for the second goal of the game.
Schroeder's turn came seven minutes later. Smith fired a shot off the post that caromed right back to her, and she touched it into Schroeder's path for a one-time finish into the top corner. Schroeder made no mistake, and the Sabercats were leading 3-0 going into halftime.
Dargy's second came just five minutes into the second half, and it came in spectacular fashion. After Smith touched it to Dargy outside the Mount Mary penalty area, Dargy sent a shot sailing over the goalkeeper and into the far corner for the first strike of the second half.
Then in the 66th minute, is was Byers' turn to get on the scoresheet. Smith's fourth feed found the feet of her fellow freshman, and Byers made no mistake, rocketing her first-touch shot just under the crossbar from the top of the penalty area for the Sabercats' fifth goal of the game.Â
Mount Mary added two goals over the next 15 minutes, but the Sabercats' had the last laugh, as Esther Bishop notched her first goal of the season at the 82-minute mark to round off a half-dozen goals on a memorable day for the Sabercats.
