STORY
In the opening minutes of the game, both teams stayed neck and neck, but in the 13th minute, a pair of free throws from Devon Oregon marked the beginning of a big push by the Regents. With 8 minutes left in the half, the Regents had secured an 11-point lead. From that point on, the Sabercats would struggle to come within striking distance of the Regents before halftime. Thanks to two parting free throws by Will Schultz, the Sabercats' deficit was cut down to 13 going into the locker room.
Missed shots and fouls plagued the Sabercats early in the second half, and the Regents took full advantage, building upon their lead to take full control of the game. Rockford showcased their depth, as they recorded 33 bench points while 14 players contributed minutes in a well-balanced win for the Regents.
