WATERTOWN, Wis. -- A first-half Faith blitz was too much to overcome on Tuesday night, as the Faith Eagles swept the season series over Maranatha, taking a 68-37 win on the Sabercats' home floor.
Lindsay Mikkelson led Maranatha with 13 points and 9 rebounds while Kyria Teachout pitched in 11 points and 7 boards. With the loss, the Sabercats look forward to Thursday night's regular-season and home finale against Mount Mary University, scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

STORY
The Eagles' high pressure proved to be too much for the Sabercats to handle in the first half, as the Eagles forced 16 turnovers in the first quarter while taking a 20-3 lead. Faith stuck with the game plan and kept the unrelenting pressure at its peak, taking a 50-12 lead going into the haltime locker room.
The second half was a chance for the Sabercats to calm the game down and settle into a rhythm, as they held Faith to just 18 points through the final 20 minutes. Once Maranatha got a rhythm going, they were able to put up 25 second-half points in what ultimately ended as a tale of two halves. Miriam Beenken led the way with 16 points for Faith, who had 11 different players contribute points in the win.
