STORY
The Warriors met with little resistance in the opening two sets, limiting the Sabercats to just 27 points in the two frames combined. Wisconsin Lutheran put 12 kills down in 17 attacks in the second set, leading a precise attack to swing at a clip of almost 60 percent.
The final frame was a fight, however, as the Sabercats put 20 points on the board. Multiple early kills from Isaiah Johnson and Troy Jones kept the Sabercats on pace, and a mid-set 5-0 run for Wiscosin Lutheran was stopped by a kill from Yinghao Sun, starting a 4-0 answer for the Sabercats. At the moment, it seemed to be anybody's set.
But Wisconsin Lutheran sealed the deal soon enough. Two consecutive late kills from Connor Haeuser put the game away, as Wisconsin Lutheran staved off the Sabercats' attempts at a comeback.
