WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The Sabercats were expected to pull out a tight win over Moody on Saturday, and with the pressure of expectations on them, the Sabercats did exactly that, taking an 82-71 win over the Archers to sweep the season series.
It was a well-balanced win for Maranatha, who had four student-athletes in double figures on the night. Jumauca Golliday almost matched his career-high of 18 points, posting 17 on the night against his former team to lead the Sabercats to the hard-earned win.

STORY
Golliday wasted no time in impacting the contest, grabbing the first rebound of the game before scoring 8 of the Sabercats' first 10 points. Grant Brock quickly added 7 of his own as the Sabercats tried to grow their lead, but the Archers tied things up at 19 and at 21, making the Sabercats second-guess their control of the game.
Six points from Chris Orsello late in the half helped the Sabercats out to a six-point advantage going into the halftime break, and they knew that it could have been a bigger advantage after connecting just 2-14 shots from downtown in the opening half. In the opening 20 minutes, the Archers never had the lead after the first 2 minutes, and Golliday was leading the Sabercats with 10 points in the contest.
The second half story was one where the Sabercats pulled away steadily. Golliday quickly posted 5 points in the opening 2 minutes, and the lead had quickly grown to double digits. Will Schultz made his mark on the second half, giving the Sabercats their biggest lead of the game (17 points) at the 7:27 mark by scoring his 10th point of the half. From that point on, it was just a matter of seeing the game through to the finish, as Maranatha held a double-digit lead for almost the entire second half.
