WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The Wisconsin-Stevens Point Pointers were a force to be reckoned with tonight, as they posted a straight-set win over the Sabercats in front of an energetic crowd at MBU.
The Pointers swung at a clip of .475 on the night, as their precise hitting put down 36 kills in the three-set contest. Isaiah Johnson and Troy Jones paced the Sabercats with 5 kills apiece.

STORY
The Pointers came out swinging and never looked back, swinging at a clip of .364 while putting up 13 kills in a 25-10 win. Maranatha tried to keep pace with their own firepower, but their production at the net was limited to 2 kills and 3 blocks in the opener.
The second set was more of the same, as the visitors precisely compiled 12 kills with just one error, attacking at a rate of .611 while limiting the Sabercats to a negative attack percentage. Isaiah Johnson and Troy Jones were leading the Sabercats with 3 kills apiece, but that was all the Sabercats could muster for the time being.
The third and final frame was all about the Pointers, as the visitors held Maranatha to 14 points. The Sabercats saved their best for last, as they came close to matching the Pointers' kill count, finishing with 7 kills to the Pointers' 11.
Ethan Jetzer and Gabriel Logalbo were the main characters for the Pointers, logging 6 kills apiece.
