WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The Wisconsin-Stevens Point Pointers may be new to the Men's College Volleyball scene, but their winning ways continued last night, as they topped Maranatha 3-0 to sweep the season series.
With the win, the Pointers are now 16-6 in just their second season at the varsity level. Troy Jones and Isaiah Johnson led the way for Maranatha on the night, logging 4 kills apiece.

STORY
The Pointers' hitters were on point in the opening two sets, swinging at a rate of nearly 50 percent while putting down 25 kills. Maranatha was struggling to find any sort of offensive rhythm, and the Pointers were showing no signs of slowing down. In the final set of the night, Stevens Point put down another 14 kills to equal their match-high mark, limiting the Sabercats to 14 points in the final frame.
On the night, the hosts were just too much to handle, logging 55 points off 39 kills, 11 aces, and 5 blocks.
For the Blue and Gold, Josiah Scott tallied 11 assists while Johnson (2 blocks) and Eddie McCarty (5 digs) led the way defensively.
