WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The Sabercats were outmatched in their home opener for the 2025 season, falling to Martin Luther College 4-0 on home soil.

Katie Schoeneck gave a host of traveling fans something to celebrate, scoring a hat-trick to lift the Knights to their second win of the 2025 season.

Schoeneck scored twice in the opening 12 minutes, as the Knights piled on the pressure throughout the first half. Martin Luther added their third just after the half-hour mark, and bagged the fourth goal just after the second half began.

The Sabercats' back line worked overtime on this one, holding the Knights to just one goal in the second half.
