STORY
Hawley wasted no time in impacting the contest, putting up the first points of the game before scoring 9 of the Sabercats' first 11 points. The Sabercats fought to gain a double-digit lead, but wouldn't do so until the seven-minute mark of the first half, thanks to a pair of free throws from Northern. With good ball distribution and contribution from the bench, the Sabercats gained a 17-point lead going into halftime.
The Sabercats refused to let off the gas, as they led by as many as 41 points in the second half. Mass substitutions throughout the half kept fresh legs on the court, and the Sabercats made full use of their advantage. In the end, the Sabercats came tantalizingly close to breaking 100 points for the first time in three seasons, as they took the win from the Archers, 98-70.
