WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The 2026 Alumni Weekend festivities rekindled old friendships and revived old memories, as some key people that helped build the Maranatha Athletic programs returned to Watertown for the events that cap off the summer. It's a day that the entire Maranatha community has circled in red on the calendar every year, and the 2026 weekend did not disappoint.
Cross Country 5K (Third Annual)
The third annual Cross Country Alumni Run got the day started, as the two college teams battled it out with the alumni. On the men's side, returning runner Andrew Dorothy took home the gold with a 5K time of 18:12; on the women's side, Alumna Lauren Sieger won the 5K with a time of 23:55.

Women's Volleyball (Alumnae 3-0Â Sabercats - 25-14, 25-11, 25-18)
The Women's Volleyball alumnae squad never disappoints, as All-Americans, NCCAA players of the year, and regional champions reconvene to showcase the overall success of the Maranatha Women's Volleyball program.
The graduates showed their experience, earning a quick 3-set win.

Women's Soccer (Alumnae 2-4Â Sabercats)
The Women's Soccer game ultimately broke wide open for the Sabercats, as 3 goals from Amelia Schroeder and one from Samantha Sipla answered two goals from Coach Julie Allweil. The Sabercats pulled away late in the second half to decide it, as Schroeder added 3 goals to her 4-goal haul from the 2025 edition of the Alumni matchup.

Men's Soccer (Alumni 1-2Â Sabercats)
The last game of the day had no shortage of drama - an alumni squad of 22 men took home a last-minute victory courtesy of a Michael Doese penalty kick with just 25 seconds left on the clock. Boston Faithfull had equalized for the Sabercats after Taylor Pill had opened the scoring with a free-kick for the Alumni.
The Alumni Men's Soccer Team included 5Â NCCAA All-Americans and 5Â Jamie O'Dell Leadership Award selections.
