WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The Sabercats opened the season in front of a big crowd on the Maranatha campus, but couldn't find a win against NCAA DIII opponents Martin Luther College. After Women's Soccer took a heavy 5-0 loss, Men's Soccer had the lead slip away in the dying seconds, tying the Knights 1-1 for the second year in a row.
Will Alsup scored directly from a corner kick to open the scoring in the men's game before the Knights equalized right at the death. The goal was Alsup's first of the season and first as a Sabercat.
