Camp FAQs

Will my camper be guaranteed to room with or near their requested roommate? Yes. Even if multiple campers request the same roommate or there is a situation where not all requests can be honored, we will place the campers that requested each other in adjacent rooms.

Are there exceptions to the age policy and can my 11-year-old attend and stay in the dorms? No. While we want campers of all ages to attend camp, non-staff parents/supervisors of underage campers must make their own housing arrangements off of Maranatha's Campus. (updated 3/29/23)

Can campers that graduate high school in May/June still attend camp? Yes. And we encourage any high-school graduates to attend camp to get a taste of college athletics!

Do you offer scholarships for camp? No. As an NCAA member, we are not allowed to give scholarships for participation in our camps. However, we offer discounts, which can be viewed above!

Do I need to bring bedding? Yes. Maranatha provides beds, but all campers need to bring bedding, including linens, blankets, and pillows.

Are the dorms air conditioned? Yes. The dorms have air conditioning units.

Camp Philosophy and Policy

Maranatha hosts summer sports camps as a supplement to the mission statement of its Athletics Department: The Mission of the Maranatha Athletic Department is to develop leadership skills in the student-athlete through skilled training, Godly mentoring, and intercollegiate competition.

As such, campers experience what it's like to participate in college-level drills and receive college-level instruction that is tailored to their individual needs. All camps, for both boys and girls, offers a college-level experience in the court and in the classroom.

We believe there is one God, the creator and preserver of all things. Through Him, male and female were created, and all human life is sacred and cared for from conception (Genesis 1:27). MBU offers summer camps according to God's providential design of male and female individuals and requires participants to register and participate accordingly.
