Biography

BIO

What emoji would you choose to represent yourself on Twitter?
"American Flag - because of 'Merica'. When a player puts the American flag in their bio, it’s often more than just a flag — it’s a statement about where they come from and what shaped them. It tells people, “This is my foundation.” Basketball in the United States isn’t just a sport; it’s part of the culture. For a lot of players, their love for the game started on outdoor courts in their neighborhood, at rec centers, or in high school gyms where the lights buzzed and the bleachers were full of energy. Using the American flag is a way to honor that background — to carry a little piece of home with them wherever basketball takes them. Especially for players competing overseas or on international stages, the flag becomes a symbol of their journey: from local gyms to representing their country’s basketball tradition in front of the world. It says, “I’m proud of where I came from, and I carry that with me every time I step on the court.” There’s also a sense of connection behind it — a reminder of the coaches, communities, and teammates who helped them grow. The flag isn’t just about geography; it’s about gratitude. It’s about the system, the competition, and the culture that molded them into who they are. And on a global level, the American flag carries weight in basketball. The U.S. has produced legends, set standards, and built a legacy of excellence in the sport. So when a player adds it next to their name, they’re not just saying “I’m American.” They’re also saying, “I come from the place where the game is in our blood. Where we compete. Where we grind. Where basketball means something.” In short, the American flag emoji becomes a badge of identity — a small but powerful way to represent the place that gave them their drive, their dream, and their love for the game."

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? Why?
"Tucked between the Dachstein Alps and Lake Hallstatt, the village of Hallstatt in Austria feels like a step back in time. Known for its breathtaking beauty, this small village has been inhabited for over 7,000 years, with its name rooted in the ancient salt mines that once made it a vital trade hub.

Today, Hallstatt is a quiet, picturesque destination with colorful houses, narrow streets, and stunning mountain views. Its charm is in its simplicity—steep roofs, flower boxes, and the stillness of the lake reflect a slower, more peaceful way of life. Though small, Hallstatt is famous worldwide, even inspiring a replica in China, drawn to its tranquility and timeless atmosphere.

Hallstatt’s rich history, from the Iron Age salt trade to modern-day cultural traditions, makes it more than just a pretty village. It's a place where nature, history, and heritage intertwine, offering visitors a rare glimpse into a village that has remained largely unchanged for centuries."

Complete the sentence: "Good leaders________?"
"...inspire others not just through their words, but through their example. They lead with integrity, showing consistency between what they say and what they do. A good leader listens before they speak, values the voices of their team, and creates an environment where everyone feels seen and motivated to give their best. They remain calm under pressure, make tough decisions with fairness, and take responsibility for both success and failure. Above all, good leaders serve the people they lead — they don’t just chase results, they build trust, character, and confidence in others.."

Why did you choose MBU?
"I chose MBU because it felt like more than just a school — it felt like a community that actually wants you to grow. From the first time I visited, I could tell that MBU was a place where faith, academics, and athletics all work together, not against each other. I wanted to be somewhere that would challenge me on the court and in the classroom, but also help me stay grounded in my faith. The coaches and staff were genuine, the environment was encouraging, and the energy just felt right. I could see myself developing as a player, a student, and a person here. MBU isn’t just a step in my journey — it’s a place where I can build lifelong relationships, grow stronger in what I believe, and chase my goals surrounded by people who want to see me succeed.."
