STORY
Martin Luther showed their cohesion early (8 players went to Luther Prep in Watertown), moving the ball with quick passes to create wide-open threes and clear drives to the basket. Their defense also held strong, limiting the number of uncontested shots the Sabercats took. Maranatha tried to keep the pressure on, but the speed and teamwork of the Knights drove the Sabercats into a 48-23 hole at the break.
The second half remained much of the same, with Martin Luther moving the ball well and hitting their shots. Maranatha made it tough on themselves by getting into foul trouble, but they battled until the final buzzer. Caleb Moultrie finished with a career-high 30 points in the effort, but the unstoppable offensive approach of the Knights led them to a 96-63 victory on the road.
