STORY
A 10-1 Rockford run announced the start of the game and the Regents' intentions through the first five minutes. But once the Sabercats got their feet under them, they started to turn the tide through Christian Cleveland and Tony Garcia, who connected to cut the lead down to four points on multiple occasions. But that four-point deficit was as close as the Sabercats would come in the first half, as they entered the locker room down 7 points thanks to a parting bucket from Will Schultz.
At halftime, the Sabercats were fighting but the Regents were calling the shots.
Missed shots and turnovers plagued the Ssabercats early in the second half, and the Regents took full advantage, building their lead out to double digits to take full control of the game. Rockford showcased their depth, as they recorded 50 bench points while 13 players contributed minutes in a well-balanced win for the Regents.
