WATERTOWN, Wis.— The Sabercats battled turnovers and a physical Great Lakes Christian College team on Thursday night, falling to the sixth-ranked team in the NCCAA DII by a score of 50-82.
It was the second win over the Sabercats in a week for the Crusaders, who move to 12-4 with the win. Grant Brock led the Sabercats with 13 points while Chris Orsello posted 12.

STORY
The Sabercats did their best to stay in it in the first half, but didn't help themselves with eight turnovers in the opening 10 minutes of the contest. The Crusaders pounced on the opportunities and built a 10-point lead - a margin that would hold going into halftime. The biggest difference in the first half was a 15-point gap for the Crusaders, which was cut down to 8 when James Hawley connected on a three-pointer with 50 seconds left in the half.
In the first 20 minutes, the Crusaders had 15 points off turnovers and 15 bench points, and the scoreboard read 38-28 for the visitors.
The Sabercats went cold in the second half, shooting just 25 percent as the Crusaders held a 44-22 advantage through the second frame. The visitors showed why they merited the top-six ranking in the NCCAA, as they manufactured a 56-percent shooting performance. All in all, the Crusaders posted 34 points off turnovers and 29 points from off the bench, compared to just 14 and 9 for the Sabercats.
Jonathan Herbster, Jumauca Golliday, Jonathan Fuller, and Nathan Barber all made their debuts on the home floor for the Sabercats.
