BERRIEN SPRINGS, Mich.— Andrews University was too tough to take on Thursday night in Berrien Springs, as the Cardinals pulled away for an 75-67 win.
Four Sabercats scored in double digits, as two earned double doubles.

STORY
The Sabercats scored the first points of the game, but Andrews scored 5, keeping the Sabercats from running away with it. The first half was back and forth, until the Cardinals went on a 7 point run, putting them up, 24-17. The Cardinals would go to the locker room with a 14 point lead, 45-31.
Grant Brock's pair of free throws jump started the Sabercats' offense in the second half, followed closely by, Joe Shank, and James Hawley buckets from downtown. connected from downtown to give the Sabercats a bit of new life again, and Hawley eventually connected twice in the paint to get the Sabercats back to only an 6-point disadvantage.
The Cardinals made good on their free throw attempts in the second half, punishing the Sabercats for fouls committed in the paint. Demarien Nichols was leading the way for Andrews with 21 points, while Zachary Stokes pitched in 17. The Cardinals struggled to get anything going from distance (40% shooting) but made good on their free throw attempts, shooting 77% in the second half to take a decisive win over the Sabercats.
