NEW ULM, Minn. -- Despite three Sabercats finishing in double-digits on the night, Maranatha couldn't get the job done in the second half against Martin Luther. 

The Knights, who led by 4 leading into halftime, quickly pulled away at the start of the second half, earning a 85-68 win over the Sabercats.

Grant Brock led Maranatha on the night finishing with 22 points and Will Shultz followed behind, just two rebounds short of a double-double, with 14 points and 8 rebounds.

STORY 
The energy was high from the start, but a foul from the Sabercats led to two made free throws to put the Knights on the board first. 

The battle intensified as the teams continued to drop points on each other, but the Sabercats couldn't seem to maintain the lead until 10 minutes into the game. Leading by as many as 7 points, the Sabercats looked to be in control during the last 10 minutes of the first quarter.

With a minute and a half left in the first quarter, Luke Fix slammed a dunk and subsequent layup, giving the Knight momentum and the lead.

In the opening minutes of the second half, Will Shultz scored inside the arc to get the Sabercats on the board, bringing their deficit to just 6 points. But Maranatha seemed to only lose steam from that point on, as game started to steadily slip from their grasp. 

The Knights found their spark from behind the arc, knocking down five shots from three-point range in the final 20 minutes. They would go on to finish off the Sabercats with an 85-68 victory.
