STORY 
On Saturday, the Sabercats faced their toughest competition of the season thus far and fought valiantly, but couldn't come up with a win. The Sabercats started the game with a bang, as Joe Shank drained a 3-pointer twenty seconds into the game. Despite turnovers and multiple scoring droughts throughout the first half, the Sabercats defied the odds and hung in the game, partially due to their 71% free throw shooting and 42% 3-point shooting. With ten seconds on the clock, James Hawley put 2 more points on the board, cutting their deficit to 10 points going into halftime. In the first half alone, Will Schultz scored 13 of his 18 points for the night, contributing heavily to a halftime score of 38-48.

The second half showcased Spurgeon's deep bench, scoring nearly half of the team's 52 second-half points. Coming off a hard-fought win and long road trip just the night before, the Sabercats ran out of gas, unable to match their first-half score of 38 points. Although the final score stood at 63-100, that didn't tell the full story of the grit that the Sabercats had in this NCCAA showdown.
