STORY
In their last regular season game, the Sabercats tested themselves against another strong NCCAA regional opponent. Due to the absence of one of their top scorers, Will Schultz, the Sabercats were out of sorts from the start, but despite this hole, the Sabercats played with grit and determination. The Sabercats scored the first points of the game, but were ultimately unable to hold their lead for more than a couple of minutes. The Tigers promptly went on an 8-2 run, capitalizing on Sabercat turnovers and missed shots. From that point on, the Sabercats couldn't stop the bleeding and found themselves down 38-23 at the half.
As they returned to the court, the Sabercats still found themselves plagued by turnovers, allowing the Tigers to score 13 points off turnovers in the second half alone. Although the Sabercats slowed down the Tigers' scoring in the paint somewhat, it wasn't enough to take back the lead. At the buzzer, the Tigers had taken a sizable lead, giving them an 82-53 win.
