STEVENS POINT, Wis. -- In their first game of March, the Sabercats took on the UW-Stevens Point Pointers. With a dominant performance, the Pointers overtook the Sabercats in straight sets, sending them home winless.

STORY
From the opening minutes of the match, the Sabercats were greeted with multiple kills by Andrew Yang, giving the Pointers an early lead. The Stevens Point offense was firing on all cylinders, forcing errors from the Sabercats while keeping errors of their own to a minimum. After a late-game effort from the Sabercats, the final score would sit at 15-25, with the Pointers taking the first set of the day.

The second set would commence in a similar manner to the first, with Andrew Yang racking up kills as fast as Braeden Fawcett could dish out passes. This time, however, the Sabercats would hold with the Pointers for the first half of the set. After taking a 13-12 lead, the Sabercats couldn't hold off the Pointers, allowing them to go on a 5-point lead. Trailing by 4 points, the Sabercats were unable to mount a comeback attempt and steal a set from the Pointers. The second set was the Sabercats' best performance of the day, as they forced a final score of 21-25. 

By the third set, the Sabercats were out of gas, scoring only 9 points on the set. When all was said and done, Andrew Yang had put down 11 kills, and Braeden Fawcett dished out 18 assists, aiding the Pointers in a decisive win.
