BERRIEN SPRINGS, Mich.— After a strong start that gave Maranatha a single point edge leading into half-time, the Sabercats seemed to fall apart in the final ten minutes of play. Will Shultz led Maranatha with 16 points on the night and Grant Brock earned his first career double-double finishing with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

STORY
It was a fight right from the start for Maranatha and Andrews as the two teams battled it out for a decent lead. Andrews was able to pull ahead slightly after the first ten minutes, but Maranatha refused to let their opponents take total control of the game, keeping the Cardinals lead to single digits the entire half.
With under eight minutes to go in the first, Grant Brock hit back-to-back-to-back buckets in the paint to once again make it anyone's game for the taking going into halftime.
With things all tied up at 31 and a minute on the clock, Emmanuel Coffy drained a three to give the Sabercats their first lead since the opening minutes. Maranatha entered the locker room with 34-32 lead and their second win of the season within reach.
But things took a turn for the worse in the second half as Cardinals went on multiple runs to pull things out of reach for the Sabercats. Andrews' Demarian Nichols led his team in the half, earning 19 of his total 30 points, which led to their 75-58 win over Maranatha.
