DE PERE, Wis. -- The Sabercats had their hands full yesterday as they took on a high-powered St. Norbert team. Despite the Sabercats' comeback bid, the Green Knights handed the Sabercats an 0-3 loss, denying them a set win.

STORY 
It was a rough start for the Sabercats, as they were out-served early in the first game. Despite the Sabercats forcing a 2-2 tie, St. Norbert pulled off a 12-1 run, led by Kaden Kornaus, who landed 8 straight serves. At the conclusion of the first match, the score stood at 25-6.

The second set was the Sabercats' strongest showing of the day, but they couldn't crack St. Norbert's code . The Green Knights came out swinging as they took an early 4-0 lead, but the Sabercats refused to let the game go easily. They stayed within striking distance until the Green Knights went on an 8-2 scoring streak, leaving the score at 15-8. From that point on, it was just a matter of time until St. Norbert put the final nail in the coffin. The Sabercats took 7 more points in the set, but it wasn't enough to upset the Green Knights.

Set three felt like a replay of the first, as an early run propelled the Green Knights to victory, allowing the Sabercats to score only 8 points.

The Sabercats will have just over 24 hours to recoup before they hit the road to take on Illinois Wesleyan and Wabash at the Wabash Tri Meet in Indiana.
