Box Score WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The Wisconsin Lutheran Warriors came to Watertown planning to steal the win from their long-time rivals, and they did just that, sweeping the Sabercats in three sets.
Maranatha stayed competitive with Wisconsin Lutheran, registering 55 points in the match, but they couldn't close out any of the sets to take a win.

STORY
The Sabercats had a bit of a shaky start, but benefited from some errors made by the Warriors, keeping them in the game. Eventually, they found their stride, tying the game up at 12-12. Errors went both ways, keeping the score very close. Eventually, the Warriors cracked the code, scoring 5 straight points late in the set. The Sabercats were unable to recover, losing 25-19.
The Sabercats began the second set strong, aided by kills from Aaron Jones and Stephen Johnson. Again, neither team was able to gain a decisive edge on the other, and the score sat at 16-16. Once again, the Warriors went on a 5-1 streak when they needed it most. Again, the Sabercats couldn't rebound, taking a second loss, 25-20.
In the third set, the Warriors had the Sabercats' number, never allowing them to take the lead. Despite Coach Allweil's two timeouts, the Sabercats were unable to right the ship, allowing the Warriors to take the final win, 25-16.
