STORY
MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Maranatha showed continuous growth this weekend, as they faced multiple tough competitors at the Warrior Invitational. Four Sabercats earned PRs, while two others attained season-best times.
Douglas Smith, Andrew Dorothy, Macee Burns, and Abigail Dorothy all ran the best races of their careers this weekend. Ryan Mayer and Olivia Barefield checked in with their fastest times of the season.
With his PR, Smith was the first to cross the line for the Sabercats, finishing with a time of 32:12. The Maranatha men finished 10th out of 10 with a total of 277 points. The Wisconsin Track Club came in first with a mere 29 points. Mason Weber finished first on the day, leading the Wisconsin Track Club with a time of 26:28.
On the girls' side, Dinah Marie was the Sabercats' first finisher for the third race in a row, with a time of 30:23. The ladies finished 9th out of 11 for a team total of 254 points. The Wisconsin Track club completed a sweep as they also took 1st in the women's race, totaling just 34 points. Dasha Vorontsov blazed through the course, crossing the finish line two and a half minutes before the second place runner.
